NEW YORK — In this video from the Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium, Red Book editor David W. Kimberlin, MD, talks about updates coming to the 2024 edition of the AAP’s guide for pediatric infectious diseases.
The updates include recommendations for the 15-valent and 20-valent pneumococcal vaccines, according to Kimberlin, who is co-director of the division of pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Children’s of Alabama and program director for the symposium.
“The 2024 Red Book will be published probably the very tail end of April or beginning of May next year,” Kimberlin said. “It’s going to be a fantastic new version of what is already a wonderful product.”
