NEW YORK — In this video, Timothy R. Shope, MD, MPH, reviews COVID-19, influenza and respiratory syncytial virus for general pediatricians in outpatient clinics.
Shope, a professor of pediatrics at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, gave a presentation on the topic at the Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium.
“I wanted to address where these diseases fall historically in the context of other vaccine-preventable diseases in pediatrics, but then also look at how adult morbidity and mortality data fit in, because children infect adults, and vice versa,” Shope said.
