As it does every year, the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections is shining a spotlight on emerging research in HIV over the course of 4 days, this year at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
In keeping with recent CROI programs, this year’s meeting also features a robust slate of sessions dedicated to other infectious diseases.
Denver’s Big Blue Bear peers into the Colorado Convention Center, host of this year’s Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections.
Researchers are presenting new data on COVID-19 vaccines, tuberculosis treatments and doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis for STIs, but the bulk of the meeting focuses on HIV, including long-acting treatment options.
“CROI remains the leading scientific conference dedicated to HIV and AIDS,” said Healio | Infectious Disease News Chief Medical Editor Paul A. Volberding, MD, professor emeritus of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. “The conference’s rigorous vetting of submitted original research, combined with an outstanding array of invited speakers across the spectrum of the HIV field, make it an essential opportunity to experience the dynamic work in this ongoing global epidemic.”
The conference runs from March 3 to 6. Check out Healio’s CROI Resource Center for news from this year’s conference or to read more than a decade’s worth of coverage of past meetings.
