NEW YORK — In this video, Sunil K. Sood, MD, discusses considering a diagnosis of the tick-borne illness babesiosis in pediatric populations.

Sood, a pediatric infectious diseases physician at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York, gave a presentation on the topic at the Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium.

“It’s a diagnosis that should be considered in areas of high endemicity,” Sood said.
