Linda Foster is starting a company and not slowing down.

“We have to move,” she said.

If you do this in one of their yoga classes at New Day Yoga & Wellness in the south building of the Dove Healthcare-Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center, 2829 County I, No. 3A, you’ll feel relaxed and have a good night’s sleep in that night.

Foster is hosting an open day for the public on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If weather permits, yoga will take place on the lawn from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Karla Roach is counseled as a health trainer, and Stacey Gunderson of Mission Miracle Massage in Chippewa Falls offers free chair massages. Examples of aromatherapy as well as healthy snack tips and recipes will also be available.

She started practicing yoga after picking up a paperback book, Richard Hittleman’s Yoga: 28 Day Training Plan.

“I got this book and did a couple of these stretches and I felt amazing,” she said.

Foster taught herself yoga and has been teaching it as a certified yoga teacher since 2007.

She said that yoga teachers guide students into yoga poses that will help them the most. “You release tension bags that you carry with you.”
