Yoga and wellbeing business hoping to create studio in Burntwood at site of former betting shop

A former betting shop in Burntwood could be converted into a yoga business.

An application to set up the “Yoga and Wellness Studio” at the Swan Island location has been submitted.

The wellbeing and wellness coach hopes to move into the area when the change in use gives the go-ahead from the planning managers.

In a planning declaration it says:

“The unit is part of the local center’s shopping district and the proposals would enhance and leverage a retail unit that has been vacant for almost two years.

“The proposals would improve and enhance the immediate area by bringing about an immediate improvement in the locality, and would provide jobs for local residents and provide much-needed service to the region.”
