NEW YORK — Common viruses have returned “with a vengeance” this year, according to an expert at the Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium.

in this video, Kevin Messacar, MD, PhDa pediatric infectious disease consultant at Children’s Hospital Colorado and associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, discusses what this has meant for pediatric practices, hospitals and children in the United States.

“After a brief pause during the pandemic, they’re back,” Messacar said.
