Pediatric behavioral health company Elemy has announced centralized diagnosis-to-treatment services to provide faster clinical support and comprehensive care for children suffering from behavioral, emotional and developmental disorders.

Elemy provides comprehensive diagnostics, therapy and medication management support for a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PTSD, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar and panic disorders, the company said in a press release

“Our country is experiencing a childhood mental health crisis of epic proportions, with children waiting several months to receive a diagnosis and even longer to get into care,” Elemy co-founder and CEO Yury Yakubchyk said in a press release. “We’re uniquely positioned to take what we’ve learned in delivering autism care at scale over the last 2 years and apply it to childhood mental health.”

With the consolidation of services, Elemy aims to increase the number of children receiving mental health support across the country. To facilitate the process, Elemy promotes a counseling-first approach for patients and their families, which ensures medication is not the only solution for treating conditions like ADHD.

When combining in-house diagnostic services alongside in-house therapeutic services, Elemy will be able to identify a behavioral health condition quicker and reduce the amount of time a patient would require to receive necessary care.

“The last few years have been unprecedented for our children and families,” Jacquelyn Flood, PhD, clinical psychologist at Elemy, said in the release. “Deep, cross-discipline pediatric experience is necessary to better understand and support our children.”
