“A total of 52 subjects under chronic stress received either ashwagandha (300 mg) or placebo twice a day.

“Each topic was rated at the beginning and after four and eight weeks.

“Treatment with Ashwagandha resulted in significant improvements in primary and secondary measures. The extract also proved to be safe and well tolerated.

“The result of this study suggests that ashwagandha root extract can be used to control body weight in adults under chronic stress.”
