Be there tomorrow live at the Plant-Based Innovation Edition with Thai Union, Impossible Foods and more!
The series began last week with two issues on Healthy Aging that are now available on-demand.
Today’s broadcast on Plant-Based Innovation begins at 3 p.m. Singapore time. Registration for the event is free.
Gary Scattergood, Editor-in-Chief of both titles and Regional Head of APAC at William Reed, said: “There is enormous future growth potential across the region as incomes continue to rise, urbanization accelerates, life expectancy increases and consumer demand does not rise rapidly last due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Indeed, Asia is seen as a global engine of growth, not just in common food and beverage products, but also in functional foods and dietary supplements. Because of this, NutraIngredients-Asia and FoodNavigator-Asia will once again be in the spotlight on how the industry can best navigate the very diverse consumer, regulatory, cultural and economic landscape of the region to achieve these significant benefits. “

The complete line-up of the upcoming events is:
Plant-based innovation
JULY 6 ● 15:00 SGT (GMT + 8)
Interest in plant-based alternatives across Asia is showing no signs of slowing down, as evidenced by the growing number of large brands, suppliers, and forward-thinking restaurants that continue to ramp up their investments. Given that, due to consumer ethical, health, and environmental concerns and extensive product innovation, Asia is being named the largest plant-based food consumption region in the $ 21 billion global ready-made market by 2025, the industry may prove to be both mainstream and also establish it as a trend category.
Healthy snacking
JULY 13 ● 15:00 SGT (GMT + 8)
Asian consumers are increasingly opting for several smaller meals throughout the day rather than traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner. This has led to a boom in the region’s snack market, but many consumers are not satisfied with simple enjoyment or convenience. They are increasingly demanding healthier options, which opens up enormous opportunities for value-adding ingredients that can play a role in reformulation or fortification, as well as for those that can promote natural or clean label claims. We’ll evaluate the latest developments in all of the above as brands strive to keep up with these emerging snacking trends.
Infant and Maternal Health
JULY 15 ● 15:00 SGT (GMT + 8)
The Asia-Pacific infant formula market is set to double to $ 26.8 billion by 2026, with brands constantly striving to gain a competitive advantage with science-based, high-quality ingredients. We’ll also look at the booming child nutritional supplement market, particularly in China, and discuss the latest maternal health insights and opportunities in an area where many expectant mothers are still suffering from critical micronutrient deficiencies.

Healthy Aging: Mobility & Cognitive Health
JUNE 29 ● 15:00 SGT (GMT + 8)
Given the tremendous public health challenges and business opportunities presented by the rapidly aging population of Asia, we will be holding two Healthy Aging issues this year to give the issue the attention it deserves. The event provides the latest research, trends and products for mobility-related diseases, including bone, joint and muscle health. Since cognitive health is paramount in consumers of all ages, we’ll also discuss the latest nutritional solutions that support memory, mood, alertness, sleep, and relaxation.
Healthy Aging: Metabolic and Digestive Health
JULY 1 ● 15:00 SGT (GMT + 8)
Many Asian nations are still battling obesity, diabetes and heart disease, so we will highlight the role of the food, beverage and nutrition sectors in alleviating various metabolic diseases. We will also evaluate the latest developments in gut health, with a special focus on how Asia’s thriving probiotic and prebiotic sectors can benefit digestive health and beyond.
