The 51-year-old gave her classes as an aspiring teacher through Zoom but now runs weekly classes in three locations including Barrowby Reading Rooms on Wednesday and Friday nights, Barkston and Syston Village Hall on Sunday morning, and The Railway Club in Grantham on Monday evening. Each session costs € 7.

Rachel said, “I’ve been a self-employed caregiver in the church for about 16 years, which I still do today, and I’m really looking forward to embracing my newfound love for yoga, a completely unexpected change from normal energetic life, that I usually do with running, aerobics and abseiling for charity are just a few examples. “

While continuing to work as a nurse, Rachel has used the skills she acquired in her yoga teacher training to help her elderly patients stay active.

She said, “I’ll give you some exercises. They actually do, which is amazing. Obviously don’t roll over the floor, stretch yourself and tuck your legs behind your head. “

One of Rachel’s students. Lorna Taylor couldn’t run for health reasons 21 years ago, but today she is “so proud” of her fitness.

Lorna said, “Rachel enables me to improve my fitness further than I ever thought possible. Her patience and trust in me enable me to follow her fabulous knowledge of yoga. “

Rachel named the business because of her personal passion for daisies and the fact that the flower symbolizes a fresh start for her, as daisies remind her of her wedding day with husband Les.

Rachel added, “There are a lot of people who have supported me during my teacher training, I just need to get the business up and running.

“I would like to thank everyone who supported me on my yoga trip.”
